Sweet Summertime

Summer is here!! For us this means: building our house,  Jamie getting a new puppy (I'm excited to get the sweet baby tomorrow), working on my classroom, vacations and being outdoors. Last week we went to Florida with my parents. We had the best time. We ate good food and got some sun.  We even bought 2 kayaks and now my dad even has a 14 foot canoe - can you tell that we are going to have some fun this summer?

This week has been filled with random projects and hanging out with our friends and family.  We get to be a part of Donna and Adam's wedding tonight and then Jamie and I are off to get Macie tomorrow morning. Then I'm headed with some girlfriends to the lake for more play time.

I'm just feeling extremely thankful today.  I really do feel like we're living our dream in every way. We're enjoying our summer and getting paid for it, I have a job for next year, Brandon is getting a chance at a job he really wants, we're building our house, we have the best family and church family and amazing friends. Part of me is wondering how I got so blessed and sometimes I even wonder when I'm going to wake up from this dream? It's kinda like waiting for something bad to happen - but mostly I just keep reminding myself that God loves me and He's planned great things for us. I'm thankful that so many people have instilled in us the things that we need to make us successful - like tithing for instance. I just REALLY believe that God is blessing us because we've always made a point to tithe before anything else.  I know some people don't really understand the principle. But I truly believe God has provided and gone above and beyond because we've been faithful in that way.  Anyways - today I feel blessed and happy and joyful.

I can't wait to celebrate Donna and Adam in a matter of hours.
